‘The habit creeps up on me out of nowhere, like a sheep on a country road in Limerick.’
Purple Snowflakes And Titty Wanks is a vibrant story of survival, a fearless example of semi-autobiographical storytelling and Irish humour. We follow Sarah as she navigates her way through grief, drunken nights, and a variety of sexual exploits in a hilarious and heart-breaking exploration of mental illness, sexuality, and friendship.
Purple Snowflakes And Titty Wanks first debuted as part of the Maiden Speech festival in 2017, before going on to play additional sold out runs at Above The Arts Cabaret Club and Leicester Square Theatre as part of an extensive R&D process. Purple Snowflakes was also featured as a Second Half event during the run of Collective Rage at Southwark Playhouse in January 2018.
“In Purple Snowflakes, Hanly writes and inhabits a character who leaps from the stage and settles in the mind — intelligent, hilarious and unsettling."
"A story about mental health reminiscent of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag.” Emma Wilson | SAVAGE
