PROVIDING PLATFORMS FOR EMERGING ARTISTS AND FRESH PERSPECTIVES
LEXI CLARE PRODUCTIONS
Lexi Clare Productions was formed in 2017 in order to launch the inaugural Maiden Speech festival, with the first season in October 2017 successfully staging nine new shows by emerging female artists to critical acclaim.
Among these shows was Purple Snowflakes And Titty Wanks, which debuted at Maiden Speech and will be staged at the Royal Court Theatre in June 2020.
Maiden Speech ran for a second season at Tristan Bates Theatre in 2018, staging fifteen new works, and will return for a third season at Tristan Bates in November 2019.
In 2018, Lexi Clare was Assistant Producer on the UK premiere of Collective Rage: A Play In 5 Betties at Southwark Playhouse, which was nominated for six Off-West End awards.
Other projects in development include Trace, a new play by Louise Breckon-Richards, which is undergoing a two-week R&D supported by Arts Council England in May 2019.
Lexi Clare is a New Zealand producer, actress and director, now based in London. She graduated from Mountview with a MA Performance in 2016.
Lexi Clare Productions emerged from a desire to contribute to the theatrical landscape in a way that challenges the dominant image of gender in theatre and to champion the voices of emerging artists.
"Lexi Clare, the producer, writer and star of this venture is a force to be reckoned with, and a welcome arrival on the British theatre scene." BRITISHTHEATRE.COM
